My name is Heather Rutherford. This is the first time that I have blogged. I am a 21 year old mother of a beautiful 17 month old daughter. She is my world. I would do anything for her. I try to be a good mother, but I know that I fall short in some areas. I'm probably not as patient with her as I should be, but I am working on that.
     I am currently going through a divorce. I was married for 2 and a half years. I got married when I was 18 and had my daughter when I was 19. I am trying to get into the Army National Guard so I can go to school for either nursing or early childhood education. It's also a way for me to provide for my daughter and myself.
     I have an amazing best friend who has been there for me when it seemed like everybody else turned their back on me. I have made some terrible mistakes in my life and now I am paying for them. All of those mistakes are learning experiences for me. They're making me become a better person. I have learned what it means to love and put someone else before myself. 
     I have lost friends because of how they have treated me and others. I am a firm believer that actions speak louder than words. If I do or say something wrong, I hope that somebody would tell me so I know what to try and work on. I am stubborn, but I do listen when somebody tells me what I do is wrong. I might not like it, but I know that by not listening I am only hurting myself in the long run.
     Anyways, I am the youngest of three. I have an older brother and an older sister. My brother lives in Pennsylvania and is expecting his third child with his finacee. His other two kids are from different women as well. His daughter is 15 and she has turned out to be a very beautiful and strong young lady. She acts older than she really is, which makes me even more proud of her. His son will be 5 in June and he is the cutest little boy ever! I don't get to spend very much time with him since he lives in North Dakota and my niece lives in Springfield, MO. 
      My sister is married and expecting her first child! I am super excited and can't wait to meet him/ her. She and her husband live close to my parents, which makes my mom happy. You know how grandparents are lol. My sister is my best friend. She will be a great mother. :)
      Well I guess this is all that I will post about. As my friend Amanda would say, "Just keep watching."
